Is that Banana bread or Banana Cake?? Whatever it is...it is Uber delicious...At home we hardly have the patience for it cool down! Half the bake is gone...It's crumbly, does not even hold together but who really cares! It's warm, slightly goey (chocolatey) and full of goodness....That's all we really care about, don't we now!! Well, if you wait for it cool down...You will achieve a beautiful bread like texture...Probably that's why it is popularly known as Banana Bread and not Cake...😊 here's what you need.... 1 cup wheat flour
1 cup all-purpose flour
4 ripe bananas
1/2 cup veg oil
1 cup sugar (or brown sugar and regular sugar half n half)
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 180c
Peel and Mash the bananas with a fork or using a blender.
Cream all wet ingredients and keep aside
Sieve all dry ingredients and slowly incorporate it into the wet ingredients
Once all dry ingredients have been folded in transfer to a loaf tin, greased with oil and dusted with flour Or lined with parchment.
Bake for 40-45 mins or until a skewer comes out clean.
If you can wait until it completely cools, transfer to a wire rack for it cool and cut it into slices.
Else like what we do...Just do get a fork and start digging in like no one's watching!
