Are you seeking advice from the right people?
It is so easy these days with the internet and social media to "meet" new people, network and obtain free advice and help.
But are you seeking the answers from the right people?
Over time I am seeing more and more people listening to advice that, in my opinion, isn't entirely correct. Now I know we all have different experiences and on most occasions the advice is coming from a good place but as a business owner you also need to do your due diligence and not just accept one person's advice as gospel.
Let me give you a few examples... 1. Someone posted in a Facebook group asking for opinions on logo design concepts she was trying to decide between. She was asking in a group that was NOT her ideal target audience for her business. If you want to know if something is going to appeal to your customers than you need to ask them. It doesn't matter what any one else thinks because they aren't going to be buying from you.
2. A new client of mine recently changed her complete online marketing strategy on the advice she was given from someone that was working in a completely different industry. What works for one industry doesn't necessarily work for another industry. So seek advice from other's who have a proven track record in your industry. But don't just abandon everything all at once. It comes back to test and measure.. Test one thing at a time, measure the results and then scale when it is successful for you.
If you need assistance with your online marketing strategy than I would love to chat to see if I may be the right person to help you.
