One thing I have learned over the years is this: Don't take food too seriously.
For me, that means not counting calories, making sure I treat myself occasionally and not stressing when I go off track.
For my kids, that means playing with your food sometimes, making mealtimes fun when I can, and not stressing TOO MUCH about what they're eating.
Joke around. Have fun. You have to eat every day, so don't let it be a chore.
