she's somehow passionate and spirited, soft and gentle, calm and wild all at the same time. looking someone straight in the eyes is the only way for her. sometimes she gazes at me while touching my cheek with her chubby little hand; she smiles and reaches for sam's face to hold when she greets him hello. she's somehow a perfect blend of both of us yet so clearly unique and her own person, our affectionate and powerful little leo lioness: Willow Aria. ✨☯️💫
I just finished reading this book Heaven is Here by Stephanie Nielson. I love how she wrote about the hard parts and feeling like losing her hope and how at times it was hard to go on. Because we all have hard things and it's nice to know you aren't the only one feeling hopeless at times. I did cry a couple times reading this book, when she wrote about her marriage and how wonderful it is, I cried because that's the kind of marriage I want. The one thing I read that stuck out that I need to share is at the end of the book. She was talking with Elder Holland, and he told her "We look for Christ's scars because they are evidence for what He did for us. They'll be the first things He shows us when we see Him again. Your scars tell a story, too. Although they may not make you feel attractive, they are a witness of a miracle, that God blessed you to live, and that you have accomplished very difficult things." While our scars/wounds can't be seen like hers. They are also a witness that we have accomplished very difficult things, and they are part of our story. That is partly why I'm sharing my story because it's part of me, to show myself how far I have come, and to help others feel not so alone.
