The past 48 hours has been pretty crazy here in Japan. The town of Takayama received 80cm of snow which covered train lines and halted our plans to travel to Kanazawa. I guess I'll be spending another day in the mountains but whose complaining?

I could not be more thankful for the gift of community than today: starting off my 25th year with people I strongly admire, cherish and love. As we hung out in this cabin I was reflecting on what this past year has brought - and boy, did it ever pack a punch. But again, I am reminded of one thing over and over again: God’s never-failing sovereignty, goodness and control over my life. I don’t know what I would do without Christ at the centre of everything, I’d be a mess.
These people, the ones I get to call some of my closest friends, are some of the most real, honest, intelligent, loyal and God-fearing people I know. I enter my 25th year with people who challenge and equip me to share the Gospel, those who laugh with (mainly at) me, always have my back and are there to always adventure. May this year coming year be filled with courage, boldness, truth-telling, and a whole lot more laughs.
Here’s to being a Quarter of a Century!

Spent the morning exploring Mt. Hood. It's a new area to me, and I already know I'm going to return. Looking to camp here when some of the snow melts
